MARIST Brothers High School swimmer Rhys Cheer aims to impress national selectors in the Fiji National Schools Swimming Championship on Friday as he dreams of representing Fiji to the Olympics.

The year 12 student aims to follow the footsteps of his cousin and former national rep to international swimming competitions.

“I remember seeing my cousin representing Fiji and it has been a motivating factor working to fulfil my dream,” he said.

Cheer will compete in the 50, 100 and 200 metre butterfly and the 200 metre individual medley.

The event will be held at the Damodar Aquatic Centre in Suva.
