Marist retains under-15 title over SGS

MARIST Brothers High School under-15 team has retained their title after beating Suva Grammar School 27-10 in the final of the Southern Zone Rugby competition on Saturday.

Team manager Tagimoucia Delailomaloma said consistency was the contributing factor for the team.

“For the success today (Saturday) the boys played according to the game plan the coach had set,” she said.

“I think the team won because of the team effort. What the boys had learnt in the past days they showed that in the match.

“We have won two trophies in the under-14 and under-15 and it was only possible with the sheer dedication and hard work from the players.”

She said the team would be having regular training sessions as the side prepared for the national competition.

“We will be preparing as usual for the nationals and our coach would set the plan.”

Marist also won the under-14 grade after the side won over Suva Grammar School 7-3.
