SEVENTEEN year old Marika Bosekoviti is the 2018 Kaila Star!
The Yawe, Kadavu-lad proved his star quality when he belted Michael Buble’s classic “Feeling Good” wowing the thousands of people that turned up at the Kaila Star Search finale at the Valelevu Grounds in Nasinu.
The John Wesley College student survived the tough rounds of competition to be among the top 10 finalists of the 11th season of Kaila Star Search.
“I’m so excited right now, I can’t believe it,” an elated Marika said after being announced the winner.
“I didn’t even expect to be in the finals but tonight was just out of this world.”
Marika dedicated his win to his family and to the rest of the Kaila Star Search contestants.
Soulful powerhouse Maraya Doleanauca scooped the first runner up title while Senitiki Tuicakau walked away with the second runner up title.
Kaila Star Search is a talent search platform which culminates the annual Hibiscus Festival sponsored by The Fiji Times and supported by Damodar Events Cinema.
