A MAN who raped a girl in 2015 was today sentenced to 13 years and nine months imprisonment.
While delivering his sentence at the High Court in Suva, judge Justice Riyaz Hamza said protecting children was a common shared responsibility.
The offence took place in a settlement in Suva back in 2015 when the victim was 13-years-old.
The rapist will be eligible for parole after serving 10 years and nine months behind bars.
