A MAN has died following a motor vehicle accident in Navua this morning.
In a statement issued this morning Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the man who is in his 30s was heading towards Navua after 1am when the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and hit an electric post along Tokotoko Road in Navua.
“The victim was pulled out of the vehicle with the assistance from the National Fire Authority and was taken to the Navua Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival,” Ms Naisoro said.
“A post mortem will be conducted soon,” she said.
Meanwhile the road death toll currently stands at 35 compared to 36 for the same period last year.
