MALAMALA Beach Club has made waves in the tourism industry since opening last year.

The Mamanuca property has gained favour among local and international visitors by offering a range of water-related activities and exquisite culinary options.

South Sea Cruises CEO Brad Rutherford said while the beach club started a year ago, the planning for the project had been going on for a few years.

“Obviously the building started at the end of 2016 and I think it has exceeded our expectations,” he said, adding there had been a lot of growth since the property opened.

Malamala Beach Club general manager Tish Mete said the property had grown from strength to strength.

“At the moment, our daily occupancy has gone through the roof during the high season,” she said.

Ms Mete said the beach club had become increasingly popular with tourists who attend conferences in Fiji. This week, a two-day celebration was organised at the beach club.

Over 200 people attended the end of celebrations yesterday
