FIFTY-six women from all walks of life today graduated at the Makoi Women’s Vocational Training Centre.
The centre has enabled women to upskill and enhance their knowledge in sewing, cooking and hydroponics.
Makoi Women’s vocational training centre manager Shazna Khan said they had had 646 women graduate from the training centre since 2015.
“This centre was established in September, 2015. So far, we have had 12 batches of graduation and the courses that we provide are sewing, cooking and hydroponic,” Ms Khan said.
She said 27 women each received a certificate of completion in sewing, 21 were awarded culinary certificates, while seven graduated with a certificate in hydroponics.
