Low water pressure for Suva, Nausori

Update: 5:14PM MEMBERS of the public living in parts of Suva and Nausori are advised to prepare for a low water pressure situation to their area from today until Saturday, April 14.

According
to a Water Authority of Fiji issued this afternoon, the low pressure situation
in water supply is a result of power failures immediately after the cyclone and
also due to clogging of the intakes and filters due to high turbid water.

The
affected areas include Tuirara/Makoi areas, Lower and upper Khalsa areas, Nagatatugatu
areas, Tacirua areas, Dokanaisuva, Colisuva and Princess road up to Wailoku
Junction.

The above areas affected will
be expecting low pressure to no water particularly in the elevated areas.

Supply
is expected to be gradually restored by Saturday evening.
