Lautoka lawyer in court for alleged conspiracy to defeat justice

Update: 1:45PM LAUTOKA lawyer Iftikar Iqbal Ahmad Khan appeared at the Lautoka Magistrates Court this morning charged with one count of conspiracy to defeat justice and interference with witnesses.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr Khan is alleged to have attempted to pervert the course of justice by interfering with the evidence of witnesses for the State in a pending case before the Nadi Magistrates Court in January 2015.
Mr Khan who was served disclosures by the State appeared before Magistrate Rangajeeva Wimalasena and has been granted bail in the sum of $1000.
The matter has been adjourned to May 23, 2018, for a plea.
