LAU chiefs today agreed there was a need to work with the Fiji Corrections Services and its stakeholders in the effort to reduce the number of convicts who are originally from the province. Turaga Roko Sau Roko Josefa Cinavilakeba said, they are looking at setting up a committee which would ensure the community, family and the vanua was ready to accept convicts when they are released.
Chiefs in Lau are currently attending the Lau Yellow Project Symposium, hosted by the Fiji Correction Services being held at the Novotel Lami today.
