PARESHAAN Parinda is a Bollywood romantic thriller scheduled to be released in Village Six cinema on June 7.

Speaking to the Fiji Times today (May 29), film and creative director of Dreamz Productions Devesh Pratap Singh said the movie is based on true events.

“The movie “Pareshaan Parinda” is my fourth directorial film and this movie is completely in Hindi with English subtitles,” Mr Singh said.

“This movie is based on a true story and is  of a Non-Resident Indian; so any Indian who leaves India and goes and lives overseas or anywhere in the world becomes an NRI.”

Mr Singh said the film also has a local connection.

“The other beautiful thing about this movie is there is a local connection here in Fiji and that connection is there is a woman from Labasa in this movie and her name is Anila Kumar,” he said.

“It’s my privilege and honour to have known her purely because she just brings so much positive energy and so much of a can-do attitude, it’s just amazing and she has got a beautiful part in this movie as an actress.”

Mr Singh said Ms Kumar is a trained actress and also a production’s person.

“She’s helped us a lot even behind the cameras and she is part and parcel of this whole movie as she has been with us throughout this journey,” he said.
