Labasa mill targets 600,000 tonnes of harvested cane

WITH impressive records of high sugar production produced over the last two years in the North, the Labasa Mill has targeted another 600,000 tonnes of cane to be harvested this year.
Last year, the mill produced 179,939 tonnes of sugar compared to 55,595 tonnes produced in Ba and 54,174 tonnes produced in Lautoka.
The Fiji Sugar Corporation confirmed to this newspaper that the Labasa mill hoped to harvest 680,000 tonnes of cane this season.
It is also adamant of another successful season.
