Despite missing the gold medal match against the All Blacks 7s, “The Beast” did shine when it mattered the most.

He showed his form that captured the hearts and imaginations of rugby fans worldwide during the HK 7s and Commonwealth Games 7s competition.

Kunatani was sharp on attack and produced the much required massive hits that rocked our opponents.

He scored scintillating tries and led by example when it came to winning the restarts, ruck and mauls and breakdowns.

When “The Beast” was on the field, he glued our team as a solid unit and assisted Jerry in decision making.

The Yamacia flyer was on fire and a big vinaka vakalevu to his Toulouse coaching staff members and officials for developing our 7s sensation from a winger to a loose forward and for giving him time to represent Fiji in HK and in Gold Coast.

Without Semi, winning the gold medal in HK and defeating the Blitzbokke in Gold Coast would have been difficult as his presence lifted the intensity and morale within the team.

Vinaka vakalevu Semi for choosing to wear the Fijian jumper and looking forward to seeing you in June come the RWC 7s in USA.

Until then, hoping you a quick recovery and wishing you all the best!
