Kumar to lead Ba team

COURTS IDC defending champion 4R Electrical Ba’s campaign has been strengthened with the timely inclusion of Vodafone Fiji under-20 coach Ravinesh Kumar.

The Men In Black who have been without a coach for the past few months is on track to successfully defend its crown with the inclusion of its temporary coach.

Kumar said he was honoured to be involved with a great team.

He said the team spirit at camp was high and thanked the players for the teamwork during the past days of training.

“In fact I was instructed by the Fiji FA to assist the team, this after the Ba Football requested the parent body for my assistance,” said Kumar.

“I have been helping the team whenever I am free and this can also apply to all teams that requested assistance.

“As for Ba the players had given me their full respect and they are very respectful and good listeners.

“I really liked the attitude shown by the players on and off the field and I am enjoying my session with the boys.”

Kumar said he had introduced some new plans and strategy for the team to best prepare them for the IDC.

“I need to change some of the plans and strategy and I am happy that the boys have adapted well to the change.”

“Personally for me I need to also change my coaching strategy with Ba compared to the national U20 side.

“I am also happy that six of my U20 players are in this team.”

Ba will meet Lautoka in their first IDC pool game at Lautoka’s Churchill Park tomorrow.
