MANY people on Kadavu are today counting their lucky stars that Severe Tropical Cyclone Keni lasted only for an hour.

While no lives were lost, there were widespread damage to farms with farmers forced to uproot young yaqona plants — some as young as one-year-old.

Villagers say food supply is running low and they can only hope for assistance to come on time.
