The Vodafone Fiji soccer team will be focusing on playing possession football when they face the Philippines team later this month.
Assistant coach Bal Sanju Reddy said the boys had been working hard in training and had set out their game plan to counter the oppositions.
He said possession football contributed immensely to the success of the team.
“We will be up against a professional team and the players have been taught to play possession football,” said Reddy.
“The boys are learning fast and have jelled well at training using the new game plan.
“The Philippines will be tough to play against, but we have faith in the boys and what they have been through at camp.”
Defender Kavaia Rawaqa said the players had responded well to training and looking were forward to a good outing.
He said the players also expected a tough game against the Philippines.
“This will be a good exposure for the players as we will be playing against a professional outfit.
“We have been preparing well and our aim is to do well.”
The side will depart the country on Friday.
