THOSE meat neatly lined on a skewer well known as kebab proved to be a popular bite at the Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival in Nasinu this week.

Subham Patel, the son of the owners of Patel Dhaba, was thrilled with the positive response they received after launching kebabs on their menu for the first time at the festival this year.

Mr Patel said he had been convincing his parents for the past two years to try it out and he had to first put together a team in order to have it operational in this year’s festival.

He said they sold 800 to 1000 serves of kebab daily, selling at $6 for eight pieces.

He added most of their customers were from the crowd at night.
