NEW Zealand-based Samuela Kautoga is likely to make a return for the Rewa side at next month’s Courts Inter District Championship.

Fiji Football competitions manager Amitesh Pal said Rewa had made an application to get the former defender from New Zealand.

Kautoga, 31, hails from Togalevu in Ba and scored the winning goal for the Delta Tigers in the 1-nil win in the final of last year’s Fiji FACT against Nadi.

Kautoga studied at Navua’s Vashist Muni College and made his debut for Navua in 2006.

He has also played for Lautoka, Labasa, Ba and Suva.

He was playing for Rewa last year before he moved to New Zealand.

If he does join Rewa, he will be an asset as the Delta Tigers try and win their first IDC title since 2010.

Rewa is pooled with Nadi, Suva and Tavua at next month’s tournament.

The IDC takes place from the October 5-10 at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
