FOUR Fijian boys are part of the Japan team as they compete with 10 other teams in a .qualifying competition fighting for a spot in the 2018/2019 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
Kameli Soejima, Jone Naikabula, Josefa Lilidamu and Jose Coyickal Seru are all key part of the Japan side this weekend as they know they have to win the qualifiers to make it as a core team in the next HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series
Japan, which previously played as a core team in the series dropped after a poor performance in the 2016/2017 series.
The inclusion of four Fijian players this year has seen Japan doing well in the Asian qualifiers and will be one of the favourites this weekend.
The teams which will be competing in the qualifiers are hosts Hong Kong, Tonga, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
