LEADER of the Jezreel Lion of Judah church Jone Cokanauto who is serving a 20-year sentence for rape convictions in 2017 has also been charged for a separate offence of sexual assault.
This was revealed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions while releasing the rape and sexual offence statistics for June.
ODPP stated there were 22 people charged with a total of 37 counts of separate incidents in June.
The statistics included 28 rape offences, one attempted rape, two abductions with intent, three defilement and three sexual assault cases reported last month.
ODPP also stated there were 22 victims of the 37 separate incidents of whom 15 victims were under the age of 18 years.
