PRIME Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has requested villagers of Lutu, Wainibuka, to remember that issues raised with the Government cannot be solved overnight.

Mr Bainimarama said some issues that were raised from a talanoa session with villagers yesterday would take years to solve.

“I want to make this clear that the issues raised here cannot be solved tomorrow, next week or next month. Some will take years to solve since it’s the first time government ministries are visiting this village and they will have to work on addressing these issues,” Mr Bainimarama said.

He said, however, some pressing issues would be addressed first.

“Some urgent issues raised would be solved quickly, however, we need to accept that not all issues raised with the Government from this talanoa will be solved automatically, some other pressing matters of urgency would be solved first,” he said.

Mr Bainimarama visited Lutu Village for the first time yesterday and held discussions with villagers from Nukuloa and Navuniyaro.
