Israel reaffirms support for Fiji and Pacific

THE Israeli government today reaffirmed its stand of its willingness to help Fiji and other Pacific Island states.

While briefing Pacific Island Journalists at the Israeli Foreign Affairs Office in Jerusalem, General Director Yuvan Rotem said their government was willing to share their knowledge in all areas including health, food and water security and technology.

He said they would be willing to provide training and experts to support Fiji and other Pacific Island states achieve their maximum potentials.

The 13 Pacific Island journalists were invited to tour Israel courtesy of the Israeli government.

This is the first time the Israeli government has invited journalists from the Pacific to travel to the land Christians refer to as the Promise Land.

The journalists are expected to meet senior Israel government officials followed by trips to the World Holocaust Center, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Masada and an expected tour also to the Golan Heights.
