INDIA’S High Commissioner to Fiji Vishwas Sapkal has officially signed the terms of reference this afternoon in Suva to co-lead the Multi National Observer Group alongside Australia and Indonesia.

Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said a few weeks ago, the terms of reference for the MOG was signed by Australia and Indonesia but India was not present because of commitments.

“We are privileged to have these three countries as co-leaders for the MOG for the 2018 general elections,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.

Mr Sapkal said they were happy to be part of the MOG for the upcoming general elections.

He noted that India was also part of the process in the 2014 general elections.
