THE Fijian Electoral Commission received a vehicle from the Indian Government today through its High Commission in Suva.
The vehicle is the first of four vehicles that will be donated to the Commission from the Indian government.
In handing over the vehicle, India’s High Commissioner to Fiji Vishwas Sapkal said India was committed to strengthening its ties with Fiji being one of its development partners in the Pacific.
Commission chairperson Suresh Chandra said the timely donation would boost the Commission’s logistic work as Fiji prepared for the upcoming general elections.
