HSBC Paris 7s: Fijiana in 5th place final

THE national women’s sevens rugby team rattled Australia but could not maintain their lead bowing out of the quarterfinals early this morning Fiji time.
The Fiji Airways was leading most part of the game, 12-5 at half time and 19-17 in the dying seconds of the game. But the 2017/2018 World Women’s Rugby Sevens Series champion scored a try to break Fiji’s hearts.
However, Fiji recovered and beat England in the 5th place semi final.
England led 14-0 after Fiji’s Ana Naimasi copped a yellow card. But she scored almost as soon as she entered narrowing the scoreline. Fiji trailed 5-14 at half time.
Miriama Naiobasali scored first in the second half and the side sealed the win through a late try.
They will play USA in the 5th place final.
