HSBC Paris 7s : Fiji finishes second in World Sevens Series

FIJI has finished second to South Africa in the World Sevens Series.
South Africa won the HSBC Paris 7s to clinch the title after Fiji was bundled off the cup competition at the quarterfinal stages after losing 17-19 to England
This is the most competitive World Sevens Series ever with the winner being declared after the final match.
Fiji with a fifth place finish scored a total of 180 points. Fiji beat Ireland 38-5 and USA 28-14 in the 5th place playoffs.
South Africa which missed the title in the last five tournaments won where it mattered the most.
With Fiji at 180 points,, it needed to win the tournament to gain 22 points to finish the series on top with 12 points.
And it did with a 24-14 victory over England.
Fiji won five of the 10 World Sevens Series tournaments this season.
Teams now prepare for the Rugby World Cup 7s in San Francisco next month..
