FIJI’S campaign for a historic four-peat at the Hong Kong 7s tournament is still intact after the side defeated New Zealand 50-7 in their final pool game last night.

The win ensures Fiji the top spot in Pool A and will now face Argentina in the cup quarter-final at 2.58pm today.

A powerful performance by the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team saw them score eight tries to dominate the game.

New Zealand 7s player of the tournament in Hamilton Alasio Naduva scored three tries to confirm his spot among the top try scorers in the tournament.

Coach Gareth Baber said they now looked forward to the quarter-finals

Baber used his number one line-up to start against New Zealand, with Josua Vakurinabili, Kalione Nasoko and Paula Dranisinukula in the forwards, skipper Jerry Tuwai at halfback, Vatemo Ravouvou, Samisoni Viriviri and Eroni Sau.
