MORE than 200 people gathered at Kermode Rd in Lautoka on Monday to mark the ninth and final day of Ram Navami.

The auspicious occasion celebrates the birth of Lord Rama and is marked by eight days of fasting and prayer.

Baal Sudhaar Ramayan Mandali treasurer Binay Chand said it had been a busy week for the group.

A hawan was organised to mark the end of prayer proceedings followed by the distribution of prasad and lunch.
