TWO men each charged with one count of unlawful transfer and supply of illicit drugs in relation to the discovery of $6.5million methamphetamine last week will appear before the High Court in Lautoka tomorrow.
One of the men, a 35-year-old, appeared before Magistrate Siromi Turaga at the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.
The man has been remanded at the Natabua Corrections Facility until his case is called tomorrow.
He was arrested alongside a 31-year-old, who faces the same charge, last week.
It is alleged the duo were waiting for a consignment containing illicit drugs that was due to arrive from the Los Angeles International Airport last Monday.
In a statement, police chief of intelligence and investigations ACP Henry Brown said the consignment held a pressure cooker that contained 20 packages of methamphetamine.
According to ACP Brown, the seizure of the drugs was possible through a joint operation with Australian and American police agencies.
