Hibiscus queens ready to compete

INTO their final preparations for the mother of all festivals, four more queen contestants say they are ready to take on the stage.

In an interview yesterday, Miss Suva City Council Simran Nand, Miss Formscaff Zeba Ali, Miss Apco Nayome Pauriasi and Miss Fiji Society for the Blind Jessica Fong said they were excited about the 2018 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival.

Miss Nand said she would use the pageant platform to advocate on environmental issues while Miss Ali said to her, animal welfare was important and she would use the festival to spread the message of love and care for animals.

Miss Pauriasi said she would use the stage to talk about people’s health while Miss Fong said she would be advocating on preventing NCDs.
