After a lapse of 16 years, Eileen Cikamatana, the 19-year-old Ovalau lass, re-registered Fiji’s name in the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a gold medal.
This showed how our weight-lifters have improved tremendously within a very short period.
From the Asian Games to Junior World and now the Commonwealth Games, it is an awesome achievement.
A benchmark for all the other athletes to measure themselves against. Especially at such a very young age.
Vinaka Eileen. Keep up the great effort.
Be yourself and wear your own armour. It is a giant-killer.
