Glad to be alive to vote

THE Radini Tui Sawakasa, Joana Tokalaulala, first thanked the God Almighty for keeping her alive to see another general election.
After casting her vote at the Lodoni Primary School yesterday, the 58-year-old woman said this was the one of the easiest election she had come across.
She thanked election officials for allowing the elderly to cast their votes first regardless of the time they arrived at the polling stations.
“In the previous elections, we used to follow the line and stand outside while waiting for our names to be called, but this one was quicker and more respectful, especially for an old lady like me,” she said.
