IT IS important to look at the performance of Fiji Under 19 players, says Fiji football head coach Christophe Gamel.

Gamel took the team to Malaysia for a friendly match against the home side last Thursday.

“Age does not matter but the skills do (for the 2026 FIFA World Cup),” he said.

Gamel said he would try to give more game time to the young players and track their performance.

Fiji is ranked 165th in the world.
