NATIONAL football coach Christophe Gamel will be part of a football symposium with district officials and coaches to make plans for Fiji football.
Gamel said it was important for the betterment of football.
“I am happy that we will have a symposium with the districts and coaches,” he said.
“It is vital for us to be on the same page and work together for the development of football in the country.”
Gamel said he wanted Fiji to play more international matches which was likely to happen later this year.
“We have sent the letter and we are negotiating with other countries so we can play them later this month during the FIFA World Cup in Russia,” Gamel said.
“We will wait for their reply, but it will be good for the future of the Fiji team.
“Fiji FA is talking with Philippines and Indonesia as they are very good teams.
“However, I do not know about Estonia as we have to sit and look at the plans. The teams which we have played in the past want to play again with Fiji.”
The symposium will be held on April 14 at the Fiji FA headquarters in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
