PEOPLE living in flood affected areas in Ba who may have missed out on the Fiji National Provident Fund Cyclone Josie flood inspection, are still eligible to apply for the assistance, says FNPF west manager contribution and compliance, Peni Gonelevu.
“This is especially for those in areas that we have issued the forms and have missed out,” he said.
“They can contact their Turaga ni Koro, as well as their advisory councillor who will then inform the district officer.”
Mr Gonelevu said so far the fund had issued 942 forms in Ba and some payments have been made already.
“They will have to fill these forms and present their bank accounts. We have received 200 forms and for those who have given in all the required documents, these people have gotten their money already.”
The FNPF inspection team visited Sabeto, Nawaka and Tavua on Friday.
“We are doing the inspections, and once you get the form, that means you are qualified to apply for this assistance.”
“This is to just help assist them with the basic things, just to start off from where they left with the recent flood,” he added.
FNPF members who were affected by the floods can apply for $1000 of their funds held by FNPF to assist them with the recovery process.
