THE FIJI Police Force will be involving all its personnel during the 2018 general elections, says Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho.
Brig-Gen Qiliho said this was to ensure the safety of members of the public while they cast their votes on election day.
The whole police force will be involved and it’s a whole of police force approach to things, so you can expect to see all of us out there,” Brig-Gen Qiliho said.
“People in the office will be moved out of the office to provide that secure conducive environment for people to freely go out and vote.”
Brig-Gen Qiliho added that training for police officers for the upcoming elections was ongoing.
