PRESIDENT of the Fiji Head Teachers Association Atekini Duaibe in his address at their conference in Nadi this morning called on Government to relook at education reforms.
Mr Duaibe, speaking to Acting Prime Minister, Attorney General and Education Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, said many head teachers in rural and maritime areas had been disadvantaged because they were not aware of what the reforms entailed.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum, who opened the 24th Fiji Head Teachers Association conference, said Government understood some of the grievances raised about education reforms and that the concerns raised would be addressed.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said he would be visiting teachers around the country to hear what their concerns were.
