The 2018 Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North was launched last night at Subrail Park in Labasa.
Twelve young ladies are vying for the 2018 title and four young men for the Kings crown.
Festival spokesperson Vincent Sahayam said the Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North raised $250,000 last year and they aimed to raise more than $200,000 this year.
The festival ends on Saturday, August 25.
The 12 Queen contestants are:
1. Miss APCO Coatings – Torika Maduekwe, 21
2. Miss Shambu Lal Construction – Mitchali Bishwa, 21
3. Miss Fiji Sugar Corporation – Ateca Ledua, 19
4. Miss Labasa Divisional Hospital – Naima Shazneen, 23
5. Miss Pinto Industries Limited – Rejieli Vasau, 24
6. Miss Lions Club of Fiji – Salaseini Grace Kulinibilo, 20
7. Miss Labasa Town Council – Pola Salusalu Litty Lois, 24
8. Miss Galaxy Hotel and Apartments – Sainimere Vosare, 22
9. Miss Northern Civil Service – Melima Stellesa Maeli, 23
10. Miss Formscaff Fiji Limited – Pooja Pritisha Raj, 22
11. Miss Satayas Building Construction – Ashtuti Chand, 25
12. Miss Rotary Club of Labasa – Arti Chand Ashna, 20
The four King contestants are:
1. Mr Legend Distributors Limited – Samuel Koi, 19
2. Mr Northern Charity Alliance – Kolinio Tamanilatui, 20
3. Mr Pioneer Security Services – Vishal Prasad, 24
4. Mr Macuata Electrical Services – Sharish Kumar, 20

* Entertainment – School talent night competition for primary and secondary schools.
