29 March, 2018, 1:25 pm
Update: 1:25PM THE Roman Catholic Church in Fiji has united Catholics and Christians from across denominations and parishes to fundraise for victims of Cyclone Gita this Sunday.
Archbishop Peter Loy Chong said on Thursday that: “The Gita Music and Dance Relief Concert is a good way to celebrate Easter by sharing our blessings and remembering our brothers and sisters in Tonga and Samoa who were affected by TC Gita.”
The Music and Dance Festival will be held at the Marist Brothers High School’s Lambert Hall in Suva on Easter Sunday, April 1.
The program starts at 3pm and ends at 6pm.
There will be a wide variety of entertainment, from the Tongan community, different parishes, the Indian Cultural Dance Troupe of the Indian High Commission, choirs, Vude Groups, Bilo Levu Boys, and a special performance from the SDA Youth.
Catholic parishes and families have shown a lot of interest in the free concert.
During the concert, the church will collect donations for the victims of TC Gita.
The Gita Music and Dance Relief concert is organised by the Archdiocese Youth Commission.
Come along with the family and give freely towards this worthy cause.
