Franco-Pacific trade meet begins

Update: 1:16PM THE FIRST ever Pacific Business Days is necessary for job creation and economic growth in the Pacific and a regional organisation based in Fiji is part of the event being held in Papeete, Tahiti.
The Pacific Islands Private Sector Organisation (PIPSO) is attending the three-day event which was opened yesterday by President of French Polynesia, �douard Fritch and includes representatives from 15 countries.
PIPSO quotes President Fritch as saying the PBD “would work on the shared willingness of the Pacific countries to foster sustainable trade relations.”
The PBD is organised by the Representation Patronale du Pacifique Sud (RPPS), the French Polynesia member of PIPSO and is aimed at making the region a key trade platform.
Christophe Pl�e, President of the RPPS said the event would provide space for trade and economic discussions to encourage vitality and development.
