THE Fiji Roads Authority will be carrying out planned maintenance work on Koronivia Bridge in Nausori from 8pm Saturday August 25 to 6am Sunday August 26.

FRA, in a statement, stated during this time access would be prohibited across the bridge and there would be no detours posted.

“Bridge closure signs have been posted in advance of the closure period and motorists are requested to plan their travel accordingly,” FRA stated.

“We will have standby vehicles available on both sides of the bridge to cater for emergency events. “The FRA wishes to complete these urgent repairs as quickly and safely as possible.”

Works will include removal and replacement of damaged nailing strip, transverse planks and running boards.

“We apologise for the expected inconvenience. For further queries please call the FRA on 5720,” FRA added.
