THE Commonwealth Local Government forum will give the opportunity for the member countries to advance their local government agendas.

This was highlighted by Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport Parveeen Kumar at the opening of the CLGF network meeting at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva yesterday.

He said the two-day meeting would allow member countries to review existing CLGF programs and strategise their way forward.

“It is a pleasure to have colleagues from across the Pacific here for this meeting, which will focus on local government’s role as a key partner in development,” Mr Kumar said.
