THE Vodafone Fiji football side will want to make use of its two matches in the next FIFA window to climb up the world rankings.

The Christophe Gamel side plays Solomon Islands next week who are ranked 22 places above Fiji.

Fiji is ranked 165th in the world while the opponents are on 143.

Singapore is ranked 169th but has not played too many matches recently.

They were once ranked in the top 100 (75) when they used to play frequently.

Fiji takes on the Solomon Islands at 7pm next Wednesday at 7pm at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.

The side then travels to play Singapore on the 11th of next month.
