THE Fiji National Rugby League is currently holding a clinic where 10 youths are taking part in the Level One Accreditation for referees.

FNRL Referees Coordinator, Jone Wesele, is facilitating the three day course underway in Suva.

The clinic is made possible through the Fiji National Sports Commission’s Train the Trainer program.

Mr Wesele said this has given them the opportunity to identify talents who could become future referees.

“It has been a good two days so far. There has been some good potential shown by the participants. We have faced refereeing issues in the past in terms of numbers and I think it is clinics like these which will help us a lot.” he said.

Apart from rugby league, rugby union, netball, volleyball and sports administration courses are also underway at the ANZ Stadium’s VIP Lounge.

The three day course finishes tomorrow (July 27).
