FLOODING issues in the Cakaudrove West area on Vanua Levu was mostly attributed to drainage problems.
Touring the area yesterday, Fiji’s Minister for Waterways Doctor Mahendra Reddy said they would need to begin scoping works in areas like Balaga in Savusavu and Tuvarara in Wailevu following the announcement of the national budget.
Dr Reddy said drains needed to be cleaned to address the problem of flooding and waterlogging.
“Once drains are cleaned, this should address these issues,” he said.
Dr Reddy also visited Savudrodro Village.
