Flood alert remains for low-lying areas in Labasa

Update: 12:44PM A FLOOD alert remains in force for low-lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to the downstream of Dreketilailai station to Qawa River in Labasa, Macuata, on Vanua Levu.
A special weather bulletin number 51 for flood issued from RSMC in Nadi at 10:10am today also stated that the flood alert was also for low-lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to major rivers of Vanua Levu and Taveuni.
The water level at Dreketilailai station was 1.84m at 10am, which is 0.34m above alert level and increasing.
The next special weather bulletin for flood will be issued at 1.10pm today or earlier.
Meanwhile, a heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti group.
A heavy rain alert also remains in force for the rest of Fiji.
