HUNDREDS of people flocked to Lautoka City’s main street today to witness the final float procession by participants and major sponsors of the 2018 Vodafone Sugar Festival.

The city came to a stand still for close to an hour as residents enjoyed the decorated vehicles designed specifically for the float for the final day of the six day event.

Sugar Festival Organising Committee chairman Pusp Raj said the week long carnival has been a success for all involved.

He said residents and businesses alike took advantage of the entertainment and bargains that were on offer at the festival.

The crowning of the 2018 Miss Vodafone Sugar Festival will be held at 7pm tonight at the Churchill Park Carnival Grounds.
