Five students charged with aggravated burglary, theft

POLICE have confirmed that the five students who had allegedly stolen money from the Macuata Muslim League Headquarters have been charged.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the men who were aged between 18 to 21 years were charged with a count each of aggravated burglary and theft.

She adds that they will be produced in the Labasa Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The alleged incident occurred over the weekend.

It is alleged that the five students stole more than $4000 in cash.

Ms Naisoro said full recovery of the money allegedly stolen had been made.
