Update: 1:54PM THE new human resources operational manual launched by Fiji’s Ministry of Fisheries today will act as a guiding tool for the ministry to implement HR management practices.

Ministry of Fisheries permanent secretary Sanaila Naqali relayed this at the launch of the HRM Operational Manual in Suva today.

The manual took a period of three weeks to compile and according to Minister of Fisheries Semi Koroilavesau, it was critical for the ministry to understand its conditions.

“We now have a document that is clearly written out to give us guidance in the terms and conditions of our employment, the critical importance for understanding the various conditions stipulated in the management of a ministry,” Mr Koroilavesau said.

The HRM operational manuals were handed out to the principal fisheries officers for the different divisions to ensure its implementation.
