Fisheries ministry farewells US envoy

Update: 1:11PM JUDITH Cefkin, the United States Ambassador to Fiji since 2015 was farewelled by the fisheries ministry this morning.

Hosted by the minister, Semi Koroilavesau, the farewell lunch took place at ministry headquarters at Toorak.

Ms Cefkin a former broadcast journalist was appointed Ambassador responsible for Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, and Tuvalu by former President Barrack Obama and began her term in January of 2015.

She studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science, earning a master’s degree in International Relations in 1977. 

Before she entered the US foreign service, Ms. Cefkin was TV news producer Denver and Houston.
